Description: Patrolman Bier was fatally shot when he went to a residence to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance where the suspect had slashed his wife with a knife. Patrolman Bier was shot when he entered the bedroom in search of the suspect. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
