Description: Officer Bowser, Supervisor of the Department's Emergency Response Team, was accidentally struck and killed by a car driven by a fellow prison employee. The accident occurred on the State Correctional Institution at Greene, where the Response Team trained weekly. Officer Bowser was calling cadence on the left side of the joggers when the prison employee accidentally struck him. Officer Bowser was transported to the Greene County Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Friendly action.
