Description: Officer Basham was assisting the San Antonio Police Department search for six juveniles suspected in burglaries at two local homes. Officer Basham began foot pursuit of four of the juvenile suspects. He returned to his patrol car and continued to pursue the suspects. As Officer Basham exited his patrol car the second time, he suffered a fatal heart attack. Officer Basham's body was located in a wooded area 500 feet from where the suspects were arrested.
