Description: Officer Bertino and his partner Officer Homer Stricklin answered a domestic disturbance call and were ambushed when they arrived at the scene. The suspect shot at the officers from behind the bushes where he was hiding. Officer Bertino was shot in the stomach and head. His partner was struck in the hand but survived. The suspect was taken into custody.
