Description: Colorado Rangers Bell and George Jennings were responding to an anonymous tip regarding a robbery attempt when their motorcycle was deliberately struck from behind. The Rangers were found lying unconscious in the roadway with their revolvers and wallets missing. The Rangers were transported to the hospital with multiple injuries. Ranger Bell never regained consciousness and died two days later. Ranger Jennings survived the incident.
