Description: Police Officer Burns was killed when his patrol vehicle was intentionally struck by a suspect evading police during a high speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle. Officer Burns and a fellow officer deployed spike sticks in an effort to stop the vehicle and were in their patrol cars waiting to take action. The suspect drove the stolen vehicle into both patrol cars. Officer Burns was pronounced dead at the scene and the other officer was injured. The suspect was arrested.
