Description: Deputy Sheriff Bateman was shot when he went to the suspect's house to serve a drunk and disorderly warrant. As Deputy Bateman was reading the warrant, the suspect shot him in the leg and abdomen, mortally wounding him. Deputy Bateman returned fire and killed the suspect.
