Description: Sr. Corrections Officer Baker was stabbed in the back by an inmate at the Bayside State Prison in an act of retaliation. The inmate stabbed Officer Baker with a homemade shank after Officer Baker informed the inmate that he was being transferred to another cell block. Officer Baker was able to call for help and identify his assailant before he collapsed. The inmate was convicted of murder.
