Description: Patrolman Blackburn, while on foot patrol, was struck by a hit-and-run driver at the intersection of Cumberland and Atlantic streets. Patrolman Blackburn suffered a broken pelvis and internal injuries. Patrolman Blackburn was transported to the hospital where he died eight days later.
