Description: Sergeant Brown was killed in an automobile accident while attempting to stop a traffic violator. Sergeant Brown pursued the suspect in a two county chase that ended east of Crystal River, Florida. The suspect suddenly braked with the intent of causing Sergeant Brown to lose control of his vehicle. Sergeant Brown tried to avoid hitting the suspect's vehicle, lost control of his cruiser and struck a tree. Sergeant Brown was killed instantly.
