Description: Officer Brentar was killed in a single-car automobile accident on Interstate 90. Officer Brentar had radioed that he was attempting to catch up with a speeding vehicle north of I-90 when his department cruiser hydroplaned and struck a pole. Officer Brentar's cruiser then burst into flames, trapping him inside. Two off-duty police officers witnessed the accident and were injured as they made several unsuccessful attempts to rescue Officer Brentar.
