Description: Lieutenant Brooks was struck and killed by a vehicle while conducting an investigation at the scene of a minor traffic accident on Highway 33. The driver of the vehicle was driving on a revoked driver's license for a prior DUI. Lieutenant Brooks was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours later. The suspect was charged with vehicular homicide.
