Description: Immediately following a high speed pursuit, Officer Bowman struggled with a juvenile suspect and assisted another officer in making the arrest. After the suspect was secured in a police cruiser, Officer Bowman collapsed and suffered a massive heart attack. Resuscitation efforts continued en route to the hospital. Patrolman Bowman suffered irreversible brain damage and remained in a coma until his death 45 days later.
