Description: On August 15, 1905, Police Officer Brown was physically assaulted as he attempted to arrest a suspect for public intoxication. The suspect kicked Officer Brown in the head. Officer Brown was unable to return to work and was bedridden. Officer Brown suffered gradual paralysis and died of blood poisoning a month later on September 26, 1905.
