Description: Deputy Bolin was part of a posse on the trail of a gang of bank robbers who were tracked to a farmhouse. The suspects were ordered to surrender but responded with gunfire. Deputy Bolin was shot in the head and died instantly. The suspects fled the scene and were subsequently responsible for the murders of Sheriff John Moseley, Chief Deputy Thomas Jones and Deputy Joseph Brown before they were caught.
