Description: Officers Biggs and Davenport found a wrecked rental auto in a ditch and staked out the scene, anticipating that the thieves would return. Three suspects approached the car and began removing the tires. The officers ordered them to cease. The suspects opened fire and fled. The officers gave chase and shot two of the suspects. As Officer Biggs approached, one of the suspects opened fire and killed him. Officer Davenport returned fire, killing Officer Biggs's assailant.
