Description: Police Officer Burch was shot as he attempted to arrest two men who were illegally siphoning gas from an automobile. Both suspects were later determined to be implicated in the murders of Muskogee Deputy Joseph Morgan and Livingston Police Officer Charles Wilson. His assailant was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to death. The second suspect was also convicted of murder and sentenced to 99 years in prison.
