Description: Officer Burns was shot and killed by a suspect while investigating a disturbance. A suspect accused the men who he was drinking and playing cards with that evening of robbing him. The suspect went outside on the street, produced a revolver, and began waving and firing it into the air. Officer Burns went to investigate the commotion and, while attempting to arrest the suspect, was fatally shot.
