Description: On December 29, 1932, Patrolman Baker arrested an intoxicated man for disorderly conduct and was escorting him to jail when the man picked him up and slammed him against a lamppost. Hours later, Patrolman Baker began to cough up blood and went to the hospital where he was treated and released. Patrolman Baker continued to feel poorly and a second trip to the hospital revealed that he had a broken rib which had punctured his lung. Infection set in and he died on January 6, 1933.
