Description: Sergeant Burke was shot as he escorted a woman to pick up her belongings. The woman had asked for protection regarding her ex-boyfriend. The man approached Sergeant Burke and shot him and the woman. He then shot and killed his rival and wounded a fourth person. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to death via the electric chair.
