Description: Corporal Bounds responded to a murder scene and immediately set up a perimeter to divert traffic. After emergency vehicles had arrived, Corporal Bounds entered the crime scene and saw that the victim was fellow officer and good friend James Wood. The officer had been shot in the head at close-range, covering the crime scene with brain matter. As Corporal Bounds fell to his knees and grabbed his chest, his last words were, "What about his family?" Corporal Bounds died of a heart attack and was pronounced dead at the scene.
