Description: Private First Class Boyd and Sergeant Ralph Romero encountered two suspects who had just robbed the Post Exchange gas station at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Although mortally wounded, Private Boyd was able to return fire and wound his assailant. Sergeant Romero also returned fire and killed the other suspect.
