Description: Police Officer Buenting was shot and killed while attempting to serve an arrest warrant for a suspect wanted for felony assault. The suspect refused to cooperate with police and barricaded himself in his residence. The suspect fired a single gunshot through the window of his residence, striking Officer Buenting in the neck above his vest. Officer Buenting was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect was apprehended.
