Description: Corporal Bejar died from injuries sustained four days earlier while responding to a report of an officer down. Deputy Sheriff Joel Wahlenmaier had been shot and killed while serving an arrest warrant on a suspected arsonist. When Corporal Bejar arrived at the scene he was shot with a high-power rifle by the same suspect. Corporal Bejar was transported to a hospital where he was on life support until his death. The suspect was found dead in his home of an apparent suicide.
