Description: Sheriff Brown lived on the lower level of the county jail. While he was preparing to go to bed one night, an assassin fired a shot through the window striking Sheriff Brown in the back, killing him instantly. The assassin was later identified as an escapee from the same county jail. The suspect admitted killing the sheriff because he was afraid that the sheriff would capture him.
