Description: Lighthorseman Barnett was one of four men led by Captain Sam Scott guarding a gangster near Wetumka, Oklahoma. Members of the gang attacked the officers and freed the prisoner. Captain Scott was restrained and riddled with bullets. Lighthorseman Barnett was killed when he tried to go to the aid of Captain Scott.
