Description: Marshal Brewer was attempting to arrest a man for public drunkenness when the man produced a gun and a struggle ensued. Despite being shot in the arm and lung, Marshal Brewer made the arrest. He was transported to a clinic where he died five days later. His assailant was tried in a court of law, found guilty and sentenced to death in the electric chair.
