Description: Detectives John Burke and R.B. Henderson were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on suspect for an assualt charge. When they entered the residence, the suspect was in the bed pretending to be asleep. When Detective Burke told the suspect that he was under arrest the suspect pulled back the bed covers and began firing at the detectives. Detective Burke was shot in the abdomen he died eight days later from his injuries.
