Description: Officer Bean was on foot patrol when he approached three suspicious men standing on a street corner. Officer Bean asked the men to move along, but found them still standing at the same corner when he returned moments later. When he approached the men the second time one of the suspects shot him in the head. Officers responding to the shots fired found Officer Bean dead. Suspects had fled the scene but were later captured. His assailant was convicted of murder and executed by hanging.
