Description: K-9 Officer John "Sonny" Burke was just minutes away from the end of his shift when he was killed by a shotgun blast after he stopped two suspicious males. The pair was planning to rob a nearby club. Officer Burke was a member of Atlantic City's original K-9 corps. The killer was finally brought to justice 20 years later.
