Description: Sheriff Bechtold suffered a fatal heart attack while performing CPR at an accident scene where a driver had collided with a grain truck. Sheriff Bechtold was the first responder on the scene. While administering CPR to the accident victim, he had a fatal heart attack and died. When emergency workers arrived, they found the grain truck driver and the accident victim dead. Sheriff Bechtold had died with his arms still locked in the CPR maneuver position.
