Description: Patrolman Burke sustained severe injuries in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash when his patrol motorcycle swerved and overturned. Patrolman Burke was attempting to pass a slow moving truck and crossed into the opposing lane. Patrolman Burke swerved back into his lane to avoid an oncoming vehicle which caused the motorcycle to overturn. Patrolman Burke was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries and died several hours later.
