Description: Police Officer Bassford died in a single-vehicle automobile crash when she lost control of her patrol car while rounding a curve. Officer Bassford was responding to a burglary call with emergency lights and siren activated when the accident occurred. Officer Bassford sustained massive head injuries and was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
