Description: Master Trooper Barber succumbed to injuries he received two years earlier during a vehicle pursuit. Trooper Barber was assisting a fellow trooper investigate a crash involving a reckless driver. An ATV involved in the crash was being removed from the roadway when it dislodged and rolled over Trooper Barber. The incident led to major injuries to Trooper Barber's legs, necessitating 10 separate surgeries and 27 months of medical care. In May 2009, Trooper Barber died of complications while recuperating in the hospital after surgery.
