Description: Detective Brann was shot and killed while he and his partner were investigating a month-old homicide. Detective Brann entered the apartment building and his partner entered the rear of the building. While at the rear entrance, Detective Brann's partner heard shots fired. He ran to the entrance of the building and found Detective Brann in the stairwell shot several times. Detective Brann was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
