Description: Reserve Deputy Barnes was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic at the scene of a previous accident. That accident had occurred after a deer was struck and left in the center of the roadway. Deputy Barnes was struck while attempting to stop southbound traffic. Deputy Barnes was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
