Description: Officer Buckner was killed in an automobile accident while returning from an investigation. At the time of the accident, the city of Decherd was under a severe snow storm with zero visibility. Officer Buckner was attempting to negotiate a curve when his police unit went off the roadway and struck a tree. Officer Buckner was pronounced dead at the scene.
