Description: Sergeant Bigus and Officer H.K. Klapmeyer responded to a robbery call, when they arrived at the scene the suspect fled to a nearby store, Walgreen. Sergeant Bigus entered the store and ordered the suspect to put his hands up. The suspect drew a gun and a struggle ensued. Sergeant Bigus was shot by his own weapon when his recently healed arm was twisted. Bigus managed to regain control and shoot the suspect killing him. Bigus died after being taken to St. Luke's Hospital.
