Description: Patrolman Burnham was shot after he interrupted a burglary in progress and attempted to arrest the suspects as they fled the scene. Patrolman Burnham was in pursuit of the suspects and was fatally shot in the abdomen as he rounded the corner. One suspect was arrested several years later and convicted of manslaughter.
