Description: Police Officer Burnfield was struck by a dump truck while trying to remove a tire from the interstate. Officer Burnfield was returning from a training exercise when he spotted a tire in the road. Officer Burnfield turned his emergency lights on and stopped his department SUV. While Officer Burnfield was retrieving the tire, he was struck and killed by a tri-axle dump truck. The driver of the truck was also killed in the accident.
