Description: Patrolman Burns was shot in the chest with his own gun when he responded to a disturbance call at a vice den. The suspect resisted arrest, knocked Patrolman Burns to the ground, gained control of his weapon and shot him. Patrolman Burns was transported to the hospital where he died. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
