Description: Captain Braden died as a result of injuries sustained 10 days earlier after a physical altercation with a domestic disturbance suspect. On April 22, 2011, Captain Braden suffered a dislocated shoulder during the altercation with the suspect that required surgery. Captain Braden was found unresponsive the morning following his surgery due to a blood clot. Captain Braden remained in a coma until his death on May 2, 2011.
