Description: Chief of Police Boykin was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic outside of a high school. Chief Boykin was wearing a reflective vest and directing traffic near his patrol car, with the lights activated, when a driver of a small passenger vehicle struck him. Chief Boykin was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. Sun glare was a factor in the accident.
