Description: Chief Brush died of a heart attack after responding to a domestic disturbance call where one of the suspects was reported armed. Two neighbors who were Council Members and also friends of Chief Brush were arguing and ready to fight. Chief Brush stepped in between the two council members and was able to quell the argument. After the scene was cleared Chief Brush returned to the police station and checked out of the office. Approximately 15 minutes later Chief Brush contacted the department dispatcher and requested EMS to his residence. Chief Brush was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He slipped into a coma and remained on life support until his death 4 days later.
