Description: Correctional Officer Burke was stabbed multiple times while preparing to escort an inmate to the prison shower at the Florida State Prison. Officer Burke was transported to the prison infirmary where he died. The inmate, who was on already death row for killing two other people, was convicted of first degree murder and executed by lethal injection.
