Description: Officer Bilodeau was shot while on patrol with his partner on a plainclothes detail. Officer Bilodeau chased the suspect after seeing what the officer took to be a gun. Officer Bilodeau was shot at close range in the arm, chest and back. Officer Bilodeau returned fire and wounded the suspect. Officer Bilodeau was pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
