Description: Officer Burden and his partner responded to a burglary call. The suspects were about to flee the residence when the lawmen arrived. A shoot out ensued and both officers were struck. Officer Burden, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, died on the way to the hospital. The suspects were caught and tried in a court of law.
