Description: Deputy Sheriff Britton died as a result of injuries sustained after being attacked by a cow while directing traffic. Deputy Britton was dispatched to direct traffic around an injured cow that was hit by a car in the roadway. The cow suddenly charged Deputy Britton, knocking him in the air. Deputy Britton landed on his head and was taken to a nearby hospital where he remained until his death four days later. Deputy Britton died of massive head trauma.
