Description: Corporal Ronnie Bogan was the Notasulga (AL) Police Department's Narcotics Officer. As the Departments? Narcotics Officer, he was responsible for photographing, cataloging, and lock-up of all drug seizures. On January 5, 2001 a fellow Notasulga Police Officer had made a traffic stop which resulted in a drug seizure. Notasulga Chief of Police, J.W. Tapley instructed the dispatcher to call Corporal Bogan who was currently at home. Corporal Bogan was advised by Chief Tapley to report to the department and take possession of the evidence that was collected at the traffic stop. While en route to the department, Corporal Bogan was killed in an automobile accident with a drunk driver. While Corporal Bogan was traveling at a high rate of speed, (88-mph in a 55-mph zone.), the other driver was driving under the influence.
