Description: Officer Buckner was escorting fire trucks (the fire department personnel had come under attack ever since the Glenville Riots) when one of the trucks swerved to avoid an open manhole. This caused Officer Buckner to swerve left also, and his police scooter hit a parked truck and a second vehicle, throwing him to the pavement. Officer Buckner was severely injured in the single-car accident and taken to the hospital where died almost a month later.
